ASCRS Foundation
context
The ASCRS Foundation supports physician education and humanitarian cataract surgery, helping patients in need in the U.S. and around the world. Leading up to their upcoming conference, the Foundation needed both a printed annual report and donor mailer to communicate its 2026 impact and thank contributors, as well as a cohesive set of conference signage and wayfinding to create a polished, navigable experience for attendees.

the ask
The Foundation needed to translate a year of financial results, research, medical accomplishments, future goals, and donor impact into an engaging 8-panel print mailer that could be distributed to contributors ahead of the conference. At the same time, the conference required thoughtful environmental communication—including wayfinding and signage—to help attendees navigate the event while reinforcing the Foundation’s professional, mission-driven brand.
the solution
I designed the annual report as an editorial-style donor communication that balanced data, accomplishments, storytelling, and gratitude within a compact, mailable format, using clear information hierarchy and visual storytelling to make the Foundation’s impact easy to understand and emotionally resonant. I then extended the visual language into the conference environment through event signage and wayfinding, creating a cohesive experience across both the mailed communication and physical event space. The result connected the Foundation’s year-round mission with its in-person conference experience, giving donors and attendees a consistent, polished expression of the organization and its impact.
