We Can Survive

context

We Can Survive is an annual live music event created to bring people together around mental health awareness, supporting their “I’m Listening” initiative and benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). In partnership with BetterHelp, the large-scale concert brings major artists and 20,000+ attendees together for an evening of music, connection, and advocacy. The event provided an opportunity to create more than a concert environment—it was a fully branded experiential platform where the mission could come to life through the physical space.

the ask

The challenge was to transform a large-scale concert venue into a cohesive, immersive brand experience that could carry the We Can Survive identity from the moment guests arrived through every interaction throughout the event. I was brought in to develop and direct the creative across the full experiential environment. The creative needed to work across a wide range of environments and audiences, from the main stage and attendee-facing activations to artist and VIP spaces, while remaining flexible enough to accommodate the many functional needs of a live production.

the solution

I developed and directed the creative across the physical festival experience, including stage design, artist lounges, branded activations, props, environmental graphics, photo moments, media backdrops, signage, and other spatial and wayfinding elements throughout the venue. I also created the event’s visual system and extended it across social, digital advertising, and promotional materials, ensuring the experience felt connected from pre-event communications through the live event. Onsite, I provided creative direction across production and installation, helping bring the various environments and touchpoints together into one cohesive festival experience.
